Is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
She graduated with highest honors from Sidney Kimmel Medical College (formerly Jefferson Medical College) in Philadelphia, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency in 2011 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and has since dedicated her career to comprehensive ophthalmology, refractive surgery, and ocular trauma.
With over 12,000 cataract and refractive procedures performed, she serves as core faculty at a Level I Trauma Center and its affiliated ophthalmology residency program. A passionate educator, she has trained more than 100 residents in both the medical and surgical management of ophthalmic conditions. She previously served as Chief of two large ophthalmology departments and as Chief of Surgery at a major medical center.
An early adopter of advanced refractive techniques, she specializes in LASIK, PRK, SMILE, ICL, and Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE). Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented nationally on optimizing refractive surgery outcomes.
She lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband Keith and their five children (ages 9–20). When not in the operating room or teaching, she enjoys baking, exploring new restaurants, staying active, and chauffeuring her children around town. She and her family are active members of Cross Mountain Church and feel blessed that God has placed her and her family in this beautiful city to live, grow, and serve.
